If you're interested in installing mods on your copy of Minecraft, and you don't know how to, please don't try it without any instructions from an experienced modder! If you really want to do it now, here's some instructions:
1. First of all, HAVE YOU GOT A MINECRAFT COPY? If you haven't got one yet, you should buy it here. About free copies, I will talk about it later in another topic, but DO NOT install the free one as it may be different to the one I'm talking about.
2. After you got your copy of Minecraft, you should at least play it once so you know about the controls and about how it works.
3. Download Forge from the official website which can be found over here. I recommend using the 1.7.10 because most of the mods is only available to that version of Forge.
4. After you've downloaded it, click on it and install it.
5. Go into the .minecraft folder by clicking Start on your computer, Run, and then type %appdata% and click "Enter" on your keyboard. It should take you to a place where the .minecraft folder is located. Click on it.
6. If you have followed my instructions properly, you will see a "Mods" folder in there.
7. Download any mod you like that is the same version as your Forge and put it into the "Mods" folder, and start up your Minecraft.
8. Enjoy your mods!
